Claude Puel was left with mixed emotions after Leicester a lead slip on two occasions in their 2-2 draw at Stoke.
The Foxes were dominant for large parts at the bet365 Stadium but saw Xherdan Shaqiri and Peter Crouch cancel out Vicente Iborra's first goal for the Foxes, and Riyad Mahrez's second-half strike.
Crouch's impact was telling, with the striker so nearly winning the game at the death, only for Kasper Schmeichel to pull off a crucial save.
The frantic end to proceedings took some of the gloss off the result, which saw Puel remain unbeaten following his appointment.
"I don't know if this draw is a fair result because we had a lot of chances," Puel told Sky Sports. "We went 1-0 up and 2-1 up.
"But it's difficult because we could have lost with Stoke's last action. We had a lot of chances and it's a pity because perhaps we deserved another thing.
"Schmeichel was fantastic, two very good saves. He earned us a point at the end.
"We know Crouch is difficult to defend against. We could have probably done better with the first and second goal.
"It's a little disappointing because we had a lot of chances. But I've learned a lot of things."
After last week's victory over Everton, the draw prevented Puel from maintaining his 100 per cent record since taking charge of the Foxes
But the Frenchman drew positives from the performance and challenged Leicester to take them into their clash with Manchester City after the international break.
"It was important to play this game with passion and intensity," he added. "It was an encouraging game with a lot of chances, it will be important to keep this going and to see our next game against Man City with good spirit and dynamics.
"It's interesting to see the passion and conviction. It was important to keep the control of the game after 25 minutes. The second half was better.
"It's important to perform and keep this good level and attitude but control the game a little more."
