Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has issued a strong defence of his club following their fourth Premier League defeat.
In a series of exchanges with supporters of the team on Twitter, Parish defended the club's summer spending and urged the fans to "stick together".
Palace were beaten 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday as their losing start to the season extended to four games.
They have also failed to score in that period, and manager Frank de Boer's future has already been the subject of speculation.
"Some sense! We are 4 games in, it's a terrible start but we have to stick together," he wrote in reply to a tweet supporting his position.
"I'm happy for people to vent at me, buck stops with me I've never run away from that," he said in another.
And added: "People are frustrated, I'm frustrated so are the management and players. We know we are better than this..."
Crystal Palace spent £26m on Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho and Parish was keen to highlight that deal, as well as the loan acquisitions of Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Timothy Fosu-Mensah of Manchester United.
"We spent over 30m on top of the 40m plus loan fees and wages in Jan. Let me ask you a question, who has the better squad us or Burnley?
"We can't just keep on spending and spending. 90% of Fans wanted Sakho which was always going to limit what we could do."
