Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer admits he 'does not know' if he will be in charge for their next game, at home to Southampton live on Sky Sports Premier League on Saturday.

The Dutchman is under pressure just four Premier League games into his reign at Selhurst Park, following four defeats and no goals - the worst start of any team in the top flight since 1924.

The Eagles lost 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday in a match where De Boer's men were the better side, but the former Ajax manager is unsure whether the improved performance is enough to save his neck.

"I don't know. I just focus on what I can control and keep thinking about Southampton from today," he said.

"What other people think, they have to decide, but when I'm still the manager of Crystal Palace, I will give 100 percent.

"I think the performance is a good starting point and what I want to see from any team that I manage. After the goal, we showed what we can do. That gives me a lot of hope for the future.

Palace chairman Steve Parish appeared to suggest De Boer would be given more time after telling fans on Twitter that the club must "stick together" - a sentiment also echoed by injured forward Wilfried Zaha on social media.

Parish said: "Some sense! We are four games in, it's a terrible start but we have to stick together," he wrote, in reply to a tweet supporting his position.
