Josh King has committed his long-term future to Bournemouth by signing a new four-year deal with the Cherries.

The 25-year-old striker had been linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium this summer after finishing last season as Bournemouth's top scorer with 16 goals in all competitions.

Tottenham were among a number of clubs linked with the Norway international, who will now remain with Eddie Howe's squad until 2021.

"There was a lot of talk in the summer but I always made it clear that I wanted to stay here," King told Bournemouth's website.

"Bournemouth is a great club that is always looking to improve. The manager has been brilliant with me and we have a fantastic squad.
