Chelsea's N'Golo Kante exits France game with hamstring injury

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante left France's World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria with a muscle injury on Saturday.

Kante was holding his hamstring on his left leg when he was taken off 34 minutes in the game. He was replaced by Adrien Rabiot with France already leading, and Les Bleus held on for a 1-0 victory.

France coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the injury after the game and ruled Kante out of Tuesday's qualifier against Belarus.

After holding on to win on Saturday, France will just need to beat Belarus to lock up their World Cup spot, though Sweden remain on their heels in UEFA qualifying Group A.

The loss of Kante could be another injury blow to Chelsea, who are already without injured striker Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea resume play after the international break away to Crystal Palace on Oct. 14, then host Roma in the Champions League four days later.
