Jose Mourinho said he saw the right "attitude" from his Manchester United team during their Carabao Cup win over Swansea after criticising his players after the defeat to Huddersfield. Mourinho accused United of lacking "motivation, aggression and desire" during the 2-1 defeat at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday. But he had no complaints after two goals from Jesse Lingard earned a 2-0 win at the Liberty Stadium to book a place in the fifth round of the Carabao Cup. Mourinho told Sky Sports: "Since the first minute we felt we were in the game. We had immediately a couple of corners, we were pressing high, we were comfortable on the pitch. The attitude was good. "We were solid and we were in control. The attitude was very good. I'm really happy and it was quite comfortable. A good day for us." Lingard, who scored either side of half-time, said the players had been keen to bounce back after what happened at Huddersfield. He said: "Since the weekend we have been working hard on the training pitch and we had to put things right. "I think we've learned from it. We'll move on and concentrate on the next game." As well as Lingard, youngsters Scott McTominay and Axel Tuanzebe both impressed after being handed their first starts of the season against Swansea. Mourinho added: "I think they did well. I would say Scott, probably, very well because he was really comfortable and strong in midfield. "Axel, I think, started a little bit shaky but then he got stability and had a good performance. "The kids' good performances were part of a good team." United are back in action on Saturday when Tottenham visit Old Trafford. Mourinho is hopeful of having Phil Jones available after he was only deemed fit enough for the bench in south Wales after limping off against Huddersfield. However, the United manager is not as positive about the chances of Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini or Paul Pogba returning in time to face Mauricio Pochettino's side. He said: "I think Jones will be because he was on the bench and he told me if I need, he would be ready. "I believe he will be even better for Saturday. Apart from that, I have no news and when I have no news I have no hopes."
