Jesse Lingard said he was "disappointed" to only manage a point against Burnley on Boxing Day despite his two goals salvaging a 2-2 draw.
An early Ashley Barnes strike and a superb free kick from Steven Defour had put Burnley two goals to the good, but Lingard scored soon after coming on as a half-time substitute and then found the equaliser in stoppage time.
United controlled the the majority of the game, taking 23 shots to Burnley's three and enjoying 71 percent of possession, and Lingard said afterward that his side should have gotten more from the fixture.
"It's disappointing, obviously we created a lot of chances, we should have won the game," he said. "We dominated the game so we're disappointed.
As for his own performance, Lingard added: "I'm on form at the moment, it's great being in the team and helping the team get goals."
United only have four days before their next game against Southampton, and then travel to Everton two days later, but Lingard wasn't worried about the crowded holiday schedule.
"We enjoy playing matches, that's why we play football," he said. "The more games the better, we can rotate the squad if needs be."
Jose Mourinho admitted that it was a game his side "should have won," but he was in a forgiving mood after the game.
"I take satisfaction by the way the team played, by the way the team reacted, by the fantastic spirit in the second half to try to recover from 2-0 down," he said.
"And especially against the bad feelings, the feeling when the opponent goes to our goal and score, and we have lots of chances and we don't -- that's a bad feeling that everyone all really has on the pitch.
"The boys fought against that 2-0 at half-time and they fought against that bad feeling, so nothing at all negative to say about my players.
"I praise again their spirit, their reaction, the way the accept all the risks that we took in the second half, so I can only praise them, but that is not the result that I want."
