ROMELU LUKAKU was among the goals for United in Oslo – and Jose Mourinho will expect a few more moments like this over the next nine months.
Star summer signing Lukaku made it 2-0 with a powerful header little more than a minute into the second half after being one of nine half-time changes.
Marouane Fellaini opened the scoring while midfielder Scott McTominay delivered a decent finish for 3-0.
Mourinho’s side had barely got over their jet leg following the tour of the United States before being whisked off to the Norwegian capital.
United play Sampdoria in Dublin on Wednesday before taking on Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup in Skopje, Macedonia, on August 8.
Mourinho used a total of 22 players against the team currently seventh at the halfway point of Norway’s Eliteserien and the hosts were not particularly good.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan had a decent shot saved after just 90 seconds while Paul Pogba – who thrilled the fans with some showboating – saw an outstanding effort hit the woodwork.
Mkhitaryan gave Mourinho a scare by going down in agony with a knee injury after a tackle from Ernest Agyri but returned to action after treatment. Equally, Marcus Rashford also needed treatment to his back.

Mourinho made those nine changes at the interval with only Pogba and keeper Sergio Romero remaining although they were both replaced on the hour.
Just a minute into his run-out, Lukaku made it 2-0 and McTominay delivered a neat turn and finish to bury the ball into the corner of the net in the 70th minute.
Former Manchester City trainee Abdisalam Ibrahim was then booked for a nasty challenge on the impressive McTominay.
