NEWLYWED soccer star Phil Jones was hiding “tum thing” secret when he tied the knot just a few weeks ago….he is about to become a dad for the first time.
Manchester United and England defender Phil, 25, walked up the aisle with long term girlfriend Kaya Hall knowing their plans for a family were about to kick off.
And with the confetti still blowing in the wind the couple are said to be thrilled at the fact a three month scan has confirmed their news for family and friends.
With Phil travelling with United in America in the club’s pre-season tour, friends of Kaya revealed he was ecstatic at being given up-dated details of the baby.
One said : “He’s a big softy at heart and can’t wait to be a dad – he’ll be a great father that’s for sure.
“Phil’s so down to earth as is Kaya so they will be grounded people for the baby….and they reckon one won’t be enough for them!”
Phil – famous for his gurning profiles when he makes tackles - wed Kaya in a star-studded wedding at their local church in Cheshire just last month.
The pair married in front of Manchester United teammates Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney, since transferred to Everton, Luke Shaw and Sam Johnstone, along with West Brom’s Jonny Evans.

The football aces, and the couple’s family, arrived at the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Nether Alderley in the United team bus.
Kaya wore a stunning white dress which featured an elegant lace high-necked top half while Phil looked handsome in a blue suit with a black bow-tie and white flower on his suit button holes.
The couple live just a stones’ throw away from the 14th century church - with ex-United megastar David Beckham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also used to living in the posh village.
The duo have been together since Phil was at Blackburn Rovers, when Kaya was a university student.
She was forced to defend her then boyfriend for making the £16.5m switch from Ewood Park to Old Trafford.
Phil has since made more than 160 appearances for United - winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League at the club.
