Manchester United transfer news: Cameron Borthwick-Jackson set to join Championship Leeds on loan
Defender has been unable to force his way into Jose Mourinho's plans and will get chance to play regularly in second tier
MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has completed his medical as he closes in on a loan move to Leeds.
The defender has been unable to force his way into Jose Mourinho's plans and failed to impress at Wolves last season.
Leeds are prepared to give the left-back a second chance, however, as Thomas Christiansen looks to build a squad capable of promotion.
Christiansen said: “I’ve seen him a few times. He’s a very good player and homegrown which is very important.”
Borthwick-Jackson will hope he can manage more than the seven appearances he made at Molineux.
Former Wolves chief Paul Lambert spoke about his decision to snub the youngster - claiming he needed hardened pros.
He said: "Cameron's obviously on loan here and hasn't really featured under me, just because I felt we needed a bit more experience.
"He's a young lad, a tidy and nice footballer and he's got to fight his way to get into the side. But he never lets himself down in training. He trains well."

The England Under-2os star, has been at Old Trafford since 2003 when he signed up aged just six.
But the 20-year-old's future at the club will be in doubt if he fails to make an impression on his second loan deal.
