PSG set to beat Manchester United to Monaco midfielder Fabinho as French side continue record spending spree

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are set to beat Manchester United to the capture of Fabinho, according to reports.

The Parisians are desperate to make a splash in the market and are not slowing down despite their incredible £198million Neymar capture.

But Fabinho, 23, is set to join bitter the Ligue 1 champions' rivals PSG, according to the Daily Record.

And incredibly the report claims the club's Qatari owners are also chasing deals for Kylian Mbappe and Jan Oblak.

PSG were gutted to lose the title to Monaco after scooping four successive crowns.

They also saw their European dreams shattered with a humbling 6-1 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League.

And Unai Emery has been given an unprecedented transfer kitty to ensure his side can compete against the very best.

Mourinho may turn his attentions to Sergi Roberto who can operate in the same positions as Fabinho.
