Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rejects £36.8m bid from Juventus for Hector Bellerin

The Gunners were quick to dismiss the offer as they have no intention of selling the defensive ace on deadline day

ARSENAL have reportedly rejected a late £36.8m bid from Juventus for Hector Bellerin.

The Gunners are not willing to cooperate with the Italian giants as they do not want to loose a defender on deadline day.

Hector Bellerin will therefore not be joining Massimiliano Allegri's side this summer, according to Football365.

Juventus are looking to bolster their defence with the addition of a right-back after losing Dani Alves to PSG earlier this summer.

However, the north London outfit are short of defensive options, so they are keen to keep hold of the treasured Spaniard.

Defender Gabriel completed a move to Valencia for £11m and Kieran Gibbs switched to West Brom for a fee of £7m.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also completed a £35m move to Liverpool, so Arsene Wenger's club need Bellerin now more than ever.

Barcelona have also indicated their interest in the Spanish defender, but Arsenal remain reluctant to cooperate.

The 22-year-old tallied 33 Premier League appearances for Arsenal last term and proved himself to be an integral element to the side's starting XI.

He remains in contract with the Gunners until 2021.

Arsenal have endured a torrid time in this term's transfer market. Wenger has only managed to bring two new faces to the Emirates.

Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette are the only new additions to the club.
