Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira joins Valencia on season-long loan deal
After falling out of favour under the management of Jose Mourinho, the 21-year-old returns to La Liga
ANDREAS PEREIRA has completed a move from Manchester United to Valencia on a season-long loan deal.
The La Liga outfit announced the signing of the 21-year-old on their club website following a deadline day deal.
The English transfer market slammed shut on Thursday night, but Spanish clubs are able to continue buying for an extra 24 hours.
Valencia are believed to have paid around £2.75m to secure the Brazilian's signature this summer.
It is understood that there is no option for Valencia to buy Pereira at the end of the loan spell.
The midfielder has signed a one-year extension at Old Trafford and can be recalled in January.
Despite suffering relegation whilst on loan with Granada last season, a string of impressive performances attracted interest towards Pereira.
He tallied five goals in 37 outings for the Nazaries and it looked although he was set to make his mark at Old Trafford.
Although he excelled during the Reds pre-season, the Spanaird failed to cement a position in Mourinho's starting XI.
The 21-year-old failed to feature in United's four matchday squads last month.
His switch to Valencia leaves United with a 24-man squad of fit senior players.
Pereira has only tallied five Premier League appearances for the Reds since making his debut during the 2014/15 season.
However, Mourinho's decision to send the 21-year-old out on loan has sent a number of United fans into frenzy.
A number of supporters have expressed their belief that former team-mate Jesse Lingard should have been the one to leave, not Pereira.
