JURGEN KLOPP'S comparison with his immediate Anfield predecessor Brendan Rodgers leaves the current boss looking second-best.
He has spent more, won less and gained less points after 72 Premier League games in charge of the Reds.
Following Liverpool's humiliating 5-0 defeat to Manchester City, the Reds boss was put up against former manager Brendan Rodgers.
During Klopp's opening term with Liverpool, he was continuously compared to the bold figure of Rodgers because of their similar statistics.
Despite an encouraging start to this term's league campaign, the former boss appears to have the upper hand.
Klopp spent £79.9m during this summer's transfer window in a bid to bolster his side, but there is certainly still room for improvement at Anfield.
He signed Mohamed Salah from Roma for £36.9m, Andrew Robertson from Hull for £8m, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal for £35m and Dominic Solanke on a free transfer from Chelsea.
Rodgers began his career as Liverpool manager following the departure of Kenny Dalglish in 2012.
He adopted the gruelling task of reigniting a Liverpool side that failed to qualify for the Champions League for three seasons in a row.
However, during his final season in charge in the 2015/16 season, the boss was sacked after leaving Liverpool in tenth place after eight fixtures played.
This made way for Jurgen Klopp, who agreed a three-year deal at Anfield in October, 2015.
The manager and his coaching staff recently signed six-year extensions to keep extend their deals until 2022.
Liverpool are ranked fifth in the Premier League standings after picking up seven points from the first four fixtures.
After 72 league games in charge, Rodgers had won three more games and collected seven more points, after spending £56million less.
