The Red Devils will spend Monday night relaxing in the central Manchester hotel before they host the Swiss giants on Tuesday night.

Mourinho's squad look very serious as they enter the hotel - which boasts a gym, spa area and 24-hour room service.

This could be partly due to the defensive crisis that is looming over Old Trafford, with Phil Jones and Eric Bailly out of action for the Reds due to suspension.

Victor Lindelof is expected to fill the void in the heart of United's defence as they look to kick-off their Champions League campaign in style.

Chris Smalling is set to partner the Sweden international in the back-four, despite falling out of favour under the management of Mourinho.

Despite finishing sixth in the Premier League last term, United qualified for the prolific competition after winning the Europa league.

The Reds should enter the fixture brimming with confidence following their blistering start to the Premier League campaign. They are currently perched at the top of the table with ten points from four games.

A sniffer dog is just a small element to Manchester United's ongoing attempt to improve the safety of the club.

The Reds have already fortified their training ground with anti-truck bollards and an intimidating 11-foot steel gate, along with new safety rules that take place inside the ground.

Jose Mourinho has been living in the plush hotel ever since he was appointed as the boss at Old Trafford in May 2016.

The Special One's luxury Riverside suite is worth £816-a-night, which includes an en-suite and a walk-in wardrobe.

However, after growing tired of the paparazzi's constant bombardment - the Portuguese chief now has his dinner delivered to him every night.

Marouane Fellaini, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young continue to be doubts for United ahead of the highly anticipated match.
