TAMMY ABRAHAM bagged a double at the Liberty Stadium to earn Swansea a first home win of the season.
The Chelsea loanee struck either side of half time as City made Huddersfield pay for their mistakes.
Swansea came within an ace of taking the lead in the ninth minute when Abraham’s strike was brilliantly saved by Jonas Lossl.
Huddersfield’s first real chance came at the end of the first quarter. Unfortunately, after sweeping inside Kyle Naughton, Elias Kuchunga fired straight at Lukas Fabianski.
Their second should have broken the deadlock.
Tom Ince got on the end of Rajiv van la Parra’s cross but blasted over from six yards.
Swansea took the lead three minutes from the interval, in bizarre fashion.
Town keeper Lossl inexplicably passed the ball straight to Tom Carroll whose cross was side-footed home by Abraham.
Swansea doubled their lead two minutes after the interval thanks to Abraham.
The Chelsea starlet latched on to Jordan Ayew’s chip and scored from barely a yard.
To make matters worse for Huddersfield boss David Wagner, Philip Billing was stretchered off on the hour.
Sub Ki Sung-Yueng saw his fierce strike fizz a yard wide with 12 minutes left.
Today's fixture at the Liberty Stadium was the first top-flight meeting between Swansea and Huddersfield.
This was the 92nd fixture to have been played in all four tiers of English football.
The Terriers had previously won their last two away league games against Swansea.
The Swans won the most recent fixture between the two clubs 1-0 at the Kirklees Stadium.
Ahead of kick off, Swansea had attempted the fewest shots in the Premier League this season - just 46.
Since David Wagner took charge of his first game as Huddersfield boss in November 2015, no manager has lost more matches in the top four tiers of English football by four or more goals than the American (5, level with Mark Hughes).
Jordan Ayew has had a hand in more Premier League goals for Swansea in 2017 than any other player currently at the club (two goals, three assists).
Only Southampton's Nathan Redmond (23) has had more shots without scoring in the Premier League this season than Huddersfield's Tom Ince (20).
