Footie fans sent into frenzy as BT Sport televise Southampton’s clash with West Brom on a Saturday night

The Saints are struggling for consistency and Tony Pulis' men enter the fixture winless from the previous eight outings

BT Sport customers have been left seething as two out-of-form teams steal prime television spot on Saturday night.

The St.Mary's fixture would not have been the stand-out fixture among the handful of Premier League games today.

Southampton's home goal record is far from thrilling and Tony Pulis' side enter the fixture winless in their eight previous games.

The Saints are struggling for consistency and have won just one of their last six Premier League fixtures.

West Brom went off the boil after a bright start and haven't registered a league win since mid-August.

It is no wonder that fans have turned to Twitter to vent their anger towards the Saturday night 'action'...

The St.Mary's fixture was living up to it's reputation and heading towards a goalless draw, until Sofiane Boufal was introduced with 20 minutes to go.

The 24-year-old scored the winner when he ran from his own half, beat three men and fired into the far corner.

Among the other Premier League fixtures on Saturday, Manchester City thumped three past Burnley and Newcastle won 1-0 against struggling Crystal Palace.

Huddersfield provided the shock of the afternoon by beating Jose Mourinho's Manchester United side 2-1.
