BENJAMIN MENDY may be sidelined thanks to a knee injury, and been under the knife in a bid to fix it, but he's been keeping his appearance sharp by getting a fresh trim from football's favourite barber.
Ahmed Alsanawi had a rough week after he was banned by Chelsea as their personal training ground barber - they accused him of 'cashing in' on his famous customers.
But he doesn't seem to be short of stars queuing up to get his fades cut into their hair.
With prolific social media user and trend-setter Mendy sitting in his chair, Alsanawi is undoubtedly glad of the exposure.
The self-taught scissor hands was chopped from Chelsea's Cobham training ground after they accused him of abusing his position and damaging the footballers' protected image rights by taking selfies, getting shirts signed and splashing the snaps on social media to promote his own business.
Gary Cahill may not be able to get his hair cut by his preferred barber at the training ground, but showed solidarity to the barber when he visited the shop in Surrey yesterday.
Alsanawi's ASTAR shop is based near the Cobham training ground and has garnered a lot of attention of late.
The barber has amassed a following of 73,000 on Instagram thanks to famous faces trusting him to cut their hair.

Just this week he has cut Dominic Solanke, Lewis Baker, Gary Cahill and Benjamin Mendy's hair during the international break, but has previously turned his hand to a whole host of Chelsea stars' hair as well as Paul Pogba's.
The secrets of the footballers' barber was revealed when SunSport went to visit the shop, in leafy Surrey.
