With Paul Pogba missing the Man City clash through suspension, the Reds were already weakened ahead of the Old Trafford meeting.

And some fans have been left seething after the 32-year-old was announced to take charge of the crunch clash.

Oliver has experienced his fair share of controversy in this fixture throughout the years.

Last year, he denied United a penalty when Marcus Rashford was brought down by Martin Demichelis.
