THE Christmas period means massive fixture congestion for every Premier League side.

But while Pep Guardiola and co will be fuming at the number of games their sides have to play in a short space of time, it also means there’s never been more football to watch live on TV.

That’s great news if you’re planning on hibernating on the sofa between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

The short space of time between so many games also means you’ll never get better value for a month-long Now TV subscription.

Right now, a Now TV Sky Sports Month Pass costs £33.99, which in most months will get you around 12 Premier League games.

But between December 22 and January 21 - with the busy festive football period - there are 18 Premier League fixtures being broadcast live on Sky Sports.

That means you can also view them on Now TV.

If you want to catch them all, it works out at just under £1.90 a game.

For a comparison, if you buy a Sky Sports Day Pass from Now TV on your average Saturday you’ll only be able to watch one game on Sky Sports for £6.99.

Yet the Christmas period includes a number of huge games and crunch clashes between the best sides in the Premier League, including:

Arsenal vs Liverpool kicks off this weekend’s action on Friday December 22 at 7.45pm.

The game has big top four implications as Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently just one point ahead of Arsene Wenger’s men in the league table - keeping the Gunners out of a Champions League place.

After New Year, the Premier League is back with a London derby as Arsenal host Chelsea on Wednesday January 3 at 7.45pm.

Antonio Conte’s side will be looking to stay in touch with the two Manchester clubs but will have to go through the Gunners to do so.

Possibly one of the most exciting games in the Premier League calendar on Sunday January 14 at 4.00pm.

Liverpool will be out for revenge against City after a 4-0 thumping earlier in the season during which Sadio Mane was sent off for booting goalkeeper Edinson in the face.

This game promises to be a goal-fest.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona

If you subscribe for a Now TV month pass on December 22, you’ll also get to watch El Clasico the next day as Real Madrid host Barcelona at 12pm on the Saturday December 23.

Cristiano Ronaldo and co take on Lionel Messi’s side as they look to rein in the Catalan giants in the race for La Liga title.
