One hopeful fan has more than £20,000 riding on a goalless draw between West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal

After Manchester City and Manchester United failed to find the back of the net, one punter has a three selection wager resting on the final fixture of 2017

NOT many fans pray for a draw, but then not many fans have £20,000 riding on it.

In the final Premier League game of 2017, one fan will be hoping that the game ends in a goalless draw- like the fixtures that featured the Manchester duo this weekend.

In what is a record-breaking game for Arsenal's manager, who takes the reins for the 811th time, one hopeful punter will be hoping that the Gunners fall flat and draw 0-0 at the Hawthorns.

The odds are stacked against him, as Arsenal have scored in all 23 of their Premier League games against West Brom.

And controversial Gunners' player Alexis Sanchez has found the back of the net three times in his last four meetings against West Brom.

But, then again, Manchester City were favoured to win at Crystal Palace and extend their 18 game run but the betting Gods were with the lucky fan today.

Not many could have predicted two of the top teams in the league to leave their fixtures with a goalless draw.

But with Manchester City and Manchester United drawing a blank, the football fan could be quids in today.

Other football fans will be hoping for a more exciting fixture, as West Brom are in desperate need of points to move themselves from the drop zone.

Similarly, Arsenal need to break down their four point deficit and break into the top four.
