Instead he has spent time on loan at MK Dons, Derby, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace, Norwich and is currently clogging up the Burnley bench.

Some Chelsea fans, however, have not forgotten the forward and they were fuming when they saw he was liking pictures from Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin.

The English forward claimed he only clicked on the pics because the goal-scoring German and Spanish defender are his friends.

And he insisted he was not being disrespectful to the club he is still contracted to or the fans who are still fuming after the embarrassing defeat.

Despite his failure to make a dent on the first team, Bamford agreed a new three-year deal with Antonio Conte’s side in July 2015 before a disastrous season-long loan to Palace that was cut short.

The former England under-21 has played 21 minutes of Premier League football this season, with two late substitute appearances.

The forward has not scored a league goal since April 2015 when he was on loan with ‘Boro.
