When asked if he would be a Dortmund player last season, Aubameyang said: "I don't know if I will stay. I just think about playing good football right now. I want to give my best and win titles. I just think about the sport and nothing else."

Real appears to be Aubameyang's preferred choice in destination should he leave Westfalenstadion.

The former Saint-Etienne striker, whose contract expires in 2020, revealed in March: "Real Madrid? There is no agreement but I promised my grandfather I would play there one day.

"Why wouldn't I want to discover new things? As I've said several times, I'd like to play in Spain and have good weather for once in my life!"

Aubameyang scored twice in Saturday's 4-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach to bring his tally to 18 for the season in all competitions.

He added: "Last year I scored 18 goals before Christmas. I hope I can do better this year. But I also want to focus on the second half of the season."
