PSG join Manchester United in race for highly-rated Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Leander Dendoncker, according to reports.
The Ligue 1 side - on the brink of landing Neymar from Barcelona in a world-record deal - are monitoring the defensive midfielder's progress.
Man United reportedly sent scouts to watch Dendoncker in Anderlecht's 0-0 season opener against Antwerp last weekend.
Jose Mourinho said former player Matic - who took part in his first United training session today - was a "Jose Mourinho player" and his move had been on the cards for a while.
However, that does not mean that Anderlecht are unwilling to sell £30m-rated Dendoncker, who has also attracted the interest of AC Milan and RB Leipzig.
And club chief Herman van Holsbeek admitted as such when he said of Dendoncker: "We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25m and €35m, we have a problem.
"Against Man United [in the Europa League] he has shown twice that he has the potential to play at a top European club."

Dendoncker has been at the Belgian outfit since his youth days, making his first-team debut in the 2013-14 campaign.
He established himself as a regular in the 2014-15 season and has gone on to play a pivotal role in Anderlecht's squad ever since.
