Alvaro Negredo set to snub Swansea and Leeds interest and sign with Turkish giants Besiktas this summer
Swansea and Leeds miss out on Valencia's Negredo as the striker heads to Turkey to join Besiktas
BESIKTAS have swooped in to sign Alvaro Negredo as Swansea and Leeds miss out, according to Spanish reports.
AS claim the Turkish side are close to completing the signing of the Spaniard on a three-year deal.
An agreement has reportedly been reached to bring the 31-year-old to Turkey, pending his medical.
Leeds were in hot pursuit of Negredo - in particular sporting director Victor Orta - who signed the forward on-loan from Valencia at Middlesbrough last season.
The striker failed to adapt to his surroundings at Boro, scoring only eight goals in all competitions throughout the campaign.
The Euro 2012 winner returned to the Spanish club as Boro were relegated to the Championship.
Swansea City were also reportedly interested in signing the striker, but his wage demands exceeded the limits of the Welsh club.
