Manchester United land in Manchester Airport and Romelu Lukaku heads straight off to Brussels on a private jet…while Marouane Fellaini dons flip flops
MANCHESTER UNITED flew home after beating Sampdoria last night - only for Romelu Lukaku to fly straight off to Brussels.
The Belgian striker played in United's 2-1 win over the Serie A side in Dublin, but he winged it home on a private jet.
After the squad were given two days off by Jose Mourinho, the £75million striker made the trip.
And he was followed by security up an escalator and away from the rest of the players to his aircraft which was waiting on the tarmac.
The rest of Mourinho's squad and the manager himself headed home after the win in Ireland.
New signing Nemanja Matic, as well as goalscorers Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata, all arrived back in Manchester in their club tracksuits.
Marouane Fellaini must have felt like he was still in the California sunshine where United spent pre-season training as he donned a pair of flip flops.
Anthony Martial, who brilliantly set up Mata's winner, donned a big pair of headphones, while Marcus Rashford made do with the smaller, standard iPhone earbuds.
The Red Devils only suffered one pre-season defeat - when Neymar scored in a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona - after victories over LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Valerenga and Sampdoria.
MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS
United face Real Madrid on Tuesday in the Uefa Super Cup in Macedonia, following their Europa League victory last season.
And Mourinho will want to get one over his former club in Skopje, after he left the Bernabeu in 2013 without winning the Champions League.
Since then Real have gone on an incredible run of winning the competition three times in four years.
