Moussa Sissoko close to ending Tottenham hell as he continues talks over loan move to Turkish side Trabzonspor
Midfielder made just EIGHT Premier League appearances for Spurs last season after failing to impress at White Hart Lane
MOUSSA SISSOKO is edging closer to escaping his nightmare at Tottenham by joining Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan, according to reports.
The midfielder has flopped since his £30million move to Spurs from Newcastle and only made EIGHT league appearances last term.
According to ChronicleLive, the 27-year-old is in talks with Trabzonspor over a loan move which is expected to include an option to buy.
Sissoko's future at Spurs was in serious doubt after manager Mauricio Pochettino left him out of the pre-season tour to the US.
Tottenham are yet to make any signings so far this summer and their wage bill will reduce significantly if Sissoko was to move on.
Trabzonspor have confirmed their interest in Sissoko and are confident they can rediscover the form he showed at Euro 2016 for France.
Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta said: “We are in talks with Moussa Sissoko.
“He is a very important player, Tottenham paid £35 million for him.
