Tottenham ace Josh Onomah signs new contract at the club… before immediately joining Aston Villa on loan
Championship side have pulled off a coup by beating Scottish giants Celtic to his signature for the 2017-18 season
TOTTENHAM starlet Josh Onomah has signed a new long term deal at White Hart Lane – and has gone straight out on-loan to Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old has penned a new deal with the Premier League side until 2021 and has headed off to Villa Park to continue his development.
The Championship side have pulled off a coup by beating Scottish giants Celtic to the Tottenham man's signature.
The Scottish champions were in pole-position to land the 20-year-old midfielder following his standout performances for England Under-20s this summer.
Villa boss Steve Bruce moved quickly to bag Onomah following the loss of Jack Grealish until December.
The youngster has three years left on his current deal and Spurs see him as a future star in North London.
Harry Winks made the breakthrough last season and boss Maurico Pochettino wants Onomah to continue his rapid progress playing regular football this season.
The Enfield born boy has progressed through the Academy system at Spurs but is yet to make his full Premier League debut despite 13 sub appearances and seven starts in cup competitions.

Other Championship clubs including Wolves and Norwich were also keen.
But Villa will see his arrival as a coup as they attempt to get back into the top flight at the first time of asking.
The loan deal has been completed in time for Onomah to be in the Villa squad for the opening game of the campaign against Hull City.
