The 26-year-old was forced off in the opening period at Wembley, a worry for Spurs fans with Kyle Walker leaving for Manchester City

KIERAN TRIPPIER was forced to come off through injury for Tottenham Hotspur in the first half against Juventus.

The 26-year-old had to be assisted as he limped off round the Wembley pitch, after coming off worse from a sliding challenge on Alex Sandro.

He had to be replaced by Kyle Walker-Peters in the 41st minute, after screaming in agony just seconds after his attempted tackle.

The former Burnley star went down clutching his knee, where he immediately received treatment by the physio.

It makes grim reading for Spurs fans, having already lost Kyle Walker to Manchetser City in a £50million deal.

And they now could be set to lose their first choice right-back just a week before the start of the Premier League season.

Trippier was unable to walk off on his own, leaving boss Mauricio Pochettino with a headache prior to next Sunday's clash with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

It wasn't all bad for Tottenham though, they went into the half-time break 1-0 up.

Harry Kane netted in the tenth minute of the International Champions Cup clash with a header into the top corner.

However regardless of the result, the injury of the England international will remain one of the major talking points.

He established himself as a key player when called upon last campaign, featuring 22 times in all competitions.
