According to the Mirror, the Arsenal forward has been convinced to see out the remainder of his deal at the Emirates before exiting on a Bosman on July 1.

Arsene Wenger has had talks with Sanchez and said the club will not accept any bids for him and he has to see out his agreement.

Manchester City have been major potential suitors for Sanchez and Bayern Munich also showed interest before dropping their chase earlier this summer.

And he has been reportedly telling team-mates and pals about the club's stance - and that he will accept it.

The club have been determined to avoid a repeat of the contract situations with Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri, when the two players left for each Manchester club with a year to go on their deals.

Wenger has been given the thumbs up by the Arsenal board over his stance and they have told him they do not need the cash in their coffers.

Although it remains to be seen how the 28-year-old's mood will change as the season develops.

Sanchez threw a series of strops and appeared to have a dig at team-mates over their decision-making or when they did not pass him the ball last season.

It seemed to have been exacerbated by his contract situation, but Sanchez appears to be on board for now.

He was on the sidelines as Arsenal beat Chelsea on penalties at Wembley, with Thibaut Courtois and Alvaro Morata missing spot kicks for the Blues.
