Macedonia has been hit by the heatwave which has affected much of southern Europe

Why are Uefa allowing water breaks?

If temperatures reach 32 degrees at kick-off time, then Uefa will organise a pause in play on 30 and 60 minutes for players to re-hydrate.

Macedonia has been hit by the heatwave which has affected much of southern Europe.

As things stand the forecast is that it will be slightly below that when the teams take to the field at the Philip II National Arena – with storms also forecast.

What has United boss Jose Mourinho said about the heat?

Mourinho said after United's pre-season tour of America, Manchester was not the best preparation for the heatwave.

He said: "I knew the weather was like this so since we were back from the States I have decided to train in Manchester every day at 4pm but it was raining every day? I was trying to keep that feeling of the heat but it was raining every day!"
