But the Blues boss faces yet more heartache on the transfer front.

The former Italian boss is growing increasingly frustrated at the club's lack of activity during this summer window.

Richarlison, 20, has been touted as one of the hottest prospects in South America, and had been tracked by Inter Milan and Manchester United.

The Brazilian winger has been starring for Fluminense and made his debut at the age of 17 — and his first goal came during a 2-1 win over Rio de Janeiro rivals Flamengo in 2015.

In all, he has 19 goals in 67 appearances for the Brazilian side and eight Under-20s caps.

Watford begin their Premier League campaign with a home match against Liverpool on Saturday morning.

They may be without a star Brazilian of their own after claims Philipe Coutinho is going on a mini-strike at training.

Jurgen Klopp has said the attacking ace is not for sale at any price following interest from cash-rich Barcelona.
