Arsenal striker Lucas Perez to cost Newcastle or Brighton £20million as they look to cash in on flop
Gunners are determined to recoup the £17m they spent on Spaniard last summer as they slap huge price-tag on him
ARSENAL are demanding a stunning £20million for Spanish outcast Lucas Perez.
The Gunners want a return on the £17m they paid for Perez, 28, a year ago.
And the hefty price tag has cooled interest in a permanent deal from Newcastle and Prem new-boys Brighton.
The fee is also pushing Perez’s old team Deportivo La Coruna out of the chase.
Magpies boss Rafa Benitez now hopes to land the striker on loan.
Newcastle were previously weighing up a deal for Danny Ings.
But the crocked forward is set to stay at Liverpool in order to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, Benitez wants to land Perez’s fellow Gunners star Jack Wilshere as well.
