Nemanja Matic having a blinder for Manchester United against West Ham… and Chelsea fans aren’t too happy

NEMANJA MATIC has made a fine start to his Manchester United career as he ran the middle of the park against West Ham today - and Chelsea fans aren't too happy.

The Serbian joined up with Jose Mourinho in a £40m switch from Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer in what came as a surprise to many.

And in the league opener today against West Ham, Chelsea may be wishing they had kept the midfield enforcer.

The world of Twitter exploded discussing the impact he was having on the game.

One hilarious video was shared showing two men slapping each other in the face, with one person writing "Chelsea fans to each other as they see Matic".

Football host Jake Humphrey was impressed with Matic's performance, tweeting "what were Chelsea thinking".

Chris Tom was pleasantly surprised that someone he thought would be a "bad buy runs the show" adding that Matic is a "maestro".

Jack Chesterman wrote that he "couldn't believe Chelsea let Matic come to United" and that he was "bossing it so far".

 

And Steve De La Cour said that Chelsea are a "weird selling club", highlighting that they also sold goalkeeper Petr Cech to rivals Arsenal.

Travis Woods wrote that "United seems like the perfect place for him" while Kenneth Chiu said that the midfielder was "freaking good".

Conor wrote that Matic is the "signing of the season".

Ajayi Adeniyi said what many will be thinking, that he "doesn't understand why Chelsea sold Matic to Manchester United".

And one Chelsea fan pointed out that Matic was having a stormer while "Bakayoko is still crippled at home".
