Everton agree £45m deal with Swansea for star midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson as club smash through £100m summer spending
The Icelandic international is set for a medical tomorrow at Goodison Park, with the long-running saga looking at an end
EVERTON have finally agreed a £45million fee with Swansea for midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has been chasing the Icelandic international all summer, and looks to have finally got his man.
The Telegraph are reporting the clubs have finally come to an agreement on the fee, and that the 27-year-old will have a medical at Goodison Park tomorrow.
It will mean the Merseysiders will crash through the £100m-mark on summer spending.
Last Thursday Swans boss Paul Clement confirmed that talks were at a “critical stage.”
And the Iceland international was subsequently not included in their Premier League opener against Southampton on Sunday.
Clement said: “We’re at a critical stage and hope it’s going to be resolved as soon as possible.”
“They [the club’s owners] understand the pros and cons of doing it earlier rather than later.

"I know for sure they have the best interest of the club in mind.
"Clearly with each day goes by you get a little bit more frustrated because you don't know if you're going to have the player or if not."
Sigurdsson is the 12 players to move into the Everton first-team squad this summer, as the club smash through the £100m barrier.
Koeman has spent £88.4m on Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez — meaning the club are now up to £133.4m with their summer spending.
