Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho could be tempted to offload Luke Shaw to boost transfer funds
Reports claim that the Old Trafford chief is considering selling the 22-year-old England international and replacing him with another dynamic full-back
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly prepared to sell Luke Shaw in order to raise funds to bring in a new full-back.
The 22-year-old has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford and failed to impress Jose Mourinho during the Portuguese manager's first campaign in charge.
And the Daily Record are claiming that the ex-Southampton left-back could be let go as the Red Devils aim to continue bolstering their squad.
Shaw played just once between December and March despite being match fit.
Despite this, he is keen to stay at United and his agent has insisted that he "loves" the club.
However, Mourinho wants to bring in another dynamic left-back.
And that could see them shift Shaw out in order to make room for a new arrival.
The England international is currently sidelined through injury but has just returned to training ahead of an expected comeback next month.

He has enjoyed no luck since joining from the Saints back in 2014 and suffered a double leg break against PSV in 2015.
Shaw will not be short of options should Mourinho wield the axe.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton all hold an interest in the star, while a number of clubs abroad are also keen.
Mourinho would like to bring in Spurs left-back Danny Rose.
