Arsenal fans urge Arsene Wenger to sign Mo Farah after Olympic hero shows off his impressive football skills

British runner recently ran his final track race in the UK... but could huge Gunners fan be tempted into a sensational career switch?

ARSENAL fans have hilariously urged Arsene Wenger to sign Mo Farah up after the Olympic hero showed off his impressive football skills.

The British running legend, 34, recently ran his final track race in the UK, but could he be tempted into a sensational career switch?

Farah, who is a huge Gunners fan, took part in Dugout's "Touch Challenge" where balls are fired skywards at speeds of around 88mph.

The main aim for the four-time Olympic gold medallist was to control the ball as well as possible - and it's fair to say he put on an impressive performance.

However, when asked whether he fancied teaming up with Premier League boys Arsenal, he quipped: "No, I'll stick to running mate!"

Farah is now expected to swap track events for road running, targeting the New York, Boston, Berlin and London Marathons in the near future.

In an interview, Farah claimed: “In my mind, I want to forget about Mo. I want to go start fresh."

But here's what Twitter had to say on a potential switch to football...

Farah is not the only track star linked with a move to football, as Usain Bolt has always expressed his interest in making the grade in the sport.

Bolt, 30, quit athletics after winning 19 global titles but only bronze in the World Championships’ 100m at London 2017.

The Jamaican legend is set to train with Borussia Dortmund, with his agent Ricky Simms saying it is realistic to think the Manchester United fan could cut it in League One or Two.

Simms claimed: "He will go to Dortmund because the CEO of Puma, who is a good friend of ours, is on the board at Borussia Dortmund. He will go to train with them.

“Can a sprinter who is 30-years-old play in the Bundesliga or the Premier League? Realistically that is a step too far.

“I think if he had six months or nine months playing and training with a team then he could play at some level whether that is League One or League Two."
