He now looks set for a permanent move to the Championship after the completion of a medical at Hull having agreed to a deal, according to SkySports.

The 22-year-old has bounced around on loan so far in his career, finding his best form at fellow Championship side Birmingham City after starring at Brentford.

While on loan with the Blues in the 2015-16 season, Toral scored eight goals in 36 appearances en-route to picking up the club's Goal of the Season award along with the Players' and Supporters' Player of the Season awards.

Though his next loan spell wasn't as successful.

The Spaniard returned to his homeland to join struggling La Liga side Granada before being recalled by Arsenal and sent to the Rangers for to reunite with his Brentford boss Mark Warburton.

In the Scottish Premiership, Toralmade nine appearances and added a goal.

Arsene Wenger is now looking to offload several players and the young playmaker has been deemed as surplus to requirements.

Toral will become the ninth player to join the Championship side this summer and they hope to bring in two more before the week ends.

Swansea's Stephen Kingsley is also expected to join the Tigers as part of Sam Cluucas' £16million departure from Swansea.
