Manchester United, Tottenham, Juventus and Benfica eye Valencia defender Ezequiel Garay
VALENCIA defender Ezequiel Garay is being courted by a host of clubs - including Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham.
The 30-year-old Argentina international is a vastly-experienced centre-half, and would attract plenty of suitors if he was made available.
He started Valencia's La Liga opener against Las Palmas on Friday - former West Ham striker Simone Zaza scoring what turned out to be the winner.
But it was another clean sheet for Garay that will have left the scouts from United, Tottenham as well as Juventus and Benfica going back with positive reports.
Spanish news-site SuperDeporte reports that the Red Devils sent their chief scout for Spain Carlos Ruiz to the game, as well as overall head of the scouting department, Javier Ribalta.
Jose Mourinho has started this season with Phil Jones partnering Eric Bailly at centre-half, with new-signing Victor Lindelof on the bench.
But Lindelof, who joined for £31million in the summer from Benfica, looked shaky in pre-season and hasn't got a look in so far.
United also have Chris Smalling and Marcus Rojo in their ranks, but Mourinho could well be looking to ship one, or both, out of Old Trafford.

Spurs are keen to strengthen their defensive ranks, especially since they sold Kyle Walker to title-rivals Manchester City.
And although they are believed to be close to signing Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez, boss Muaricio Pochettino could well plot a swoop for Garay.
