Manchester United are willing to pay £25million for Ryan Sessegnon but Fulham wonderkid prefers Tottenham move
Jose Mourinho is still in pursuit of the 17-year-old star but even if Manchester United can persuade Fulham to sell they fear he will want to remain close to home
MANCHESTER UNITED aren't prepared to give up hope on Ryan Sessegnon despite fears his preferred destination will be Tottenham according to reports.
But United's, as well as Tottenham and other Premier League club suitors' first hurdle will be to convince the Championship side to sell the teenage prodigy.
ESPN report the growing feeling at Old Trafford is Sessegnon would choose a move to Tottenham so he can remain in London.
However both outfits' first battle is to lure him away from the club that developed him and who are adamant he is not for sale, even for as much as £25million.
The Roehampton-born teen joined Fulham in 2008 on the Under-nine team with his twin brother Steven, who has also been tipped for a bright future.
In June Sessegnon signed a three-year deal at Craven Cottage snubbing Premier League interest for the opportunity to play regular first-team football.
But that hasn't stopped the prying eyes of Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino who have both been long-term admirers of the versatile left-sided player.
The Londoner has created a lot of buzz since his senior debut for Fulham in the Championship, making 25 league appearances and scoring five goals despite playing as a left-back.

At 16-years-old, his goal against Championship rivals Cardiff City earned him the title of the youngest player to score in the division as well as becoming the first player born after the millennium to score in the English professional leagues.
The youngster has primarily been used in defence, but his ability to play anywhere down the left including a dangerous attack would allow him to find a home at any top-tier club, whether he decides to stay in London or move on further a field.
