The Arsenal academy graduate spent time on loan in the Championship, La Liga and Scottish Premiership.

The 22-year-old found his best form at fellow Championship side Birmingham City after starring at Brentford.

While on loan with the Blues in the 2015-16 season, Toral scored eight goals in 36 appearances en-route to picking up the club’s Goal of the Season award along with the Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Season awards.

Though his next loan spell wasn’t as successful.

The Spaniard returned to his homeland to join struggling La Liga side Granada before being recalled by Arsenal and sent to the Rangers for to reunite with his Brentford boss Mark Warburton.

In the Scottish Premiership, Toral made nine appearances and added a goal.

Speaking after signing for the Tigers, Toral told the club website: “This is a massive move for me, the biggest so far in my career, and I can’t wait to get started.

“I’m really happy to be here. I have experienced playing in the Championship before and it is a league that I enjoyed playing in.

"I want to use that experience now and to help this team achieve its aims.”

Arsene Wenger is now looking to offload several players and the young playmaker has been deemed as surplus to requirements.

Toral will become the ninth player to join the Championship side this summer and they hope to bring in two more before the week ends.

Swansea’s Stephen Kingsley is also expected to join the Tigers as part of Sam Clucas’ £16million departure from Swansea.
