Pep Guardiola hints Alexis Sanchez could join Man City from Arsenal in stunning late move ahead of transfer deadline day
Spaniard wants to add one more attacker to his star-studded roster but has missed out on Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe
PEP GUARDIOLA has hinted at a sensational late move for Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez.
The Manchester City boss is plotting to make one final big-money signing before next Thursday’s deadline.
Defender Jonny Evans is expected to join once a fee is agreed with West Brom.
But Guardiola still wants another attacker to turn his frontline into Europe’s most feared.
Lionel Messi has been linked in recent days but there’s no chance of him leaving Barcelona so soon after Neymar’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe also looks set to move to the French capital despite also being wanted by Real Madrid.
And Guardiola has now told reporters to “ask Alexis” to see if Sanchez will be joining him at the Etihad.
The tactician said: “Alexis? He’s an Arsenal player, like Evans is a West Brom player. You have to ask Alexis. Normally I don’t talk about players from other clubs.

“I’m happy with the squad I have. We have five or six days left, and we’ll see with the market. Maybe some of the players here will leave and we will see.
“Now the market is difficult and it was difficult before. You have to spend more, not just City but other clubs. They’re looking for the best solutions. They wait until the last minute to make the deal cheaper.”
