Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide wanted on loan by Championship side Bolton Wanderers

ARSENAL youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide is wanted on loan by Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The France Under-19 international made just six first-team appearances for the Gunners last season, all in cup competition, with Ligue 1 side Nantes also interested.

Reine-Adelaide only played in the EFL Cup and FA Cup last term before suffering a season-ending injury while playing for the Under-23s in April.

Now, Arsene Wenger looks set to offload the midfielder as he aims to build up his fitness and give him some vital first-team experience.

Bolton - who were thumped 4-0 by Hull in the Championship on Friday - are looking to boost their midfield ranks, with Reine-Adelaide a target.

The Trotters, who were promoted from League One last season, are yet to win in any of their five games as they sit dead-last in the second-tier.

Elsewhere, Nantes are looking to bring in the Frenchman, as the Ligue 1 club's boss Claudio Ranieri looks to settle into his new role.

Arsenal boss Wenger is keen to keep up his knack this summer for loaning out young talent.

As well as Reine-Adelaide's potential move, the French boss has already shipped Cohen Bramall and Carl Jenkinson off to Birmingham for the season.

Yet Wenger will almost certainly need to splash the cash in the transfer market to bolster his defence.

While the back-line has been shaky at best in recent seasons, it now appears Shkodran Mustafi could already be on his way out of the club.

Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are just two others on the brink of a stunning move away from the Emirates.
