Gunners Woes

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger ‘stayed silent after Liverpool defeat’ and players are ‘complaining training is always the same’

Reports claim French boss failed to let rip at players after defeat to Liverpool while training has become predictable

ARSENE WENGER reportedly remained silent following Arsenal’s defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Daily Mail claims the Frenchman had nothing to say in the changing room following the humiliating 4-0 loss at Anfield.

And they add that Arsenal’s underachieving stars are growing tired of Wenger’s training sessions, which are becoming dull and repetitive.

The Gunners appear to be facing a crisis just three games into the new season after losing two matches already.

There have also been just two arrivals at the Emirates this summer in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.

While stars including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez look set to leave before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

But instead of unleashing hell after seeing his side run ragged on Merseyside, Wenger apparently opted to go for the silent treatment.

Petr Cech was the only Arsenal player to give the dressing room a piece of his mind – and nobody was surprised that the boss kept schtum before slinking off instead.

It’s also said that Wenger’s training methods are coming under scrutiny, with coaches unable to inject their own approach to sessions.

The Frenchman seems to be content with how things are and has no plans to make any changes to his regime.

The report adds that players were also baffled by the decision to leave Lacazette and Kolasinac on the bench for the Liverpool game.

But Wenger’s new two-year contract means he’s untouchable – for one season, at least.
