Despite only signing last summer, Mustafi looks set to join Inter Milan on a season-long loan, with a view to a permanent deal.

Now Arsene Wenger had turned his attention to the former Manchester United defender, knowing City boss Pep Guardiola had already seen two bids turned down.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is holding out for at least £30million for his star centre-back.

However, while Arsenal and Leicester are both keen on the defender, Evans, 29, has his heart set on Manchester City.

One spanner in the works though is that City boss Guardiola will need to sell Eliaquim Mangala in order to free up room for the Northern Irishman.

Evans only joined the Baggies back in 2015 for just £6m from Man United - but is attracting a fee of nearly FIVE times as much two years on.

Meanwhile, Gunners full-back Kieran Gibbs has completed his £7m move from the Emirates to the Hawthorns.

The England left-back wass itching to leave in order to see more first-team action, in a late bid to be on the plane for next summer's World Cup in Russia.

Watford had been interested in signing Arsenal man Gibbs, but pulled out of the race, opening the door for West Brom boss Pulis to pounce.
