Lucas Perez closing in on season-long loan return to Deportivo after Arsenal lower demands
The Gunners are finally willing to cut their losses on Spanish flop as Arsene Wenger reportedly sanctions the forward a move back to his former side
LUCAS PEREZ is edging closer to ending his Arsenal nightmare and returning to Deportivo La Coruna.
The Gunners have been demanding £13million for the striker who they bought from the Spanish side for £17m last summer.
But the Daily Mail claim that Arsenal will now accept a loan move with a reduced fee to get him off their books.
Perez failed to impress during his maiden campaign in the Premier League.
He only started four times after Christmas in his debut season.
And he has not started a game since the FA Cup win at Sutton in February.
Perez's last appearance for the club came way back in March when he came off the bench against Lincoln in quarter-final.
Arsenal wanted a fee at least over the £10m mark but have now changed their stance and will allow him a temporary switch.

Both Valencia and Marseille have also shown interest in the attacker but he is determined to go back to Deportivo.
The La Liga outfit are willing to take him back on loan for a fee of around £4m.
And that will come with the option of a future permanent transfer.
Perez made 21 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side in total last season.
He found the net seven times for the Emirates giants, but that goal return has failed to convince Emirates chiefs his long-term future is at the club.
