Arsenal will only sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City on transfer deadline day if Julian Draxler moves to Gunners
The unhappy Chile striker has asked for time away from his international training camp to sort out his future
ARSENAL will only flog Alexis Sanchez to Premier League rivals Manchester City if they can land Julian Draxler, according to reports.
The former Schalke and Wolfsburg attacker is reportedly unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain, just eight months after signing for the French giants for £38million.
Sanchez has also got the hump watching the Gunners’ season collapse after just three games and he wants to link-up with Pep Guardiola, leaving Arsene Wenger free to trade players, according to the Mirror.
The Germany international has been angling for a move away from the Parc des Princes after the purchase of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe’s loan arrival will add to his eagerness to scarper.
Draxler scored six goals in his first few games for PSG, but has fallen out of favour with Unai Emery after the club’s big-money additions.
Wenger has been knocking back £50m bids for his Chile striker – including the offer of Raheem Sterling as part-exchange.
But a £70m offer on the final day of the window could be enough to force the Gunners to part with their star man.
The 28-year-old is on international preparing to play Paraguay in on Thursday night but reportedly asked to leave camp briefly in the build-up to tend to other commitments.

Arsenal could also be the mysterious club behind Riyad Mahrez’s decision to leave his Algerian camp to finalise a move.
The Foxes hero has been chasing a move to a big club but Roma were the frontrunners and were unwilling to pay the £50m King Power bosses are demanding.
But a tweet from the Algerian FA translated as: “@Mahrez22 allowed to go formalise his transfer to a new club #LesVerts #TeamDZ.”
