Alexis Sanchez odds on stunning move from Arsenal to Manchester United slashed by bookies after four-figure bet

Gunners forward has been linked with Man City all summer, but could now be on the brink of a shock move to Old Trafford

ALEXIS SANCHEZ'S odds on a stunning move from Arsenal to Manchester United have been dramatically slashed by bookies after a huge, four-figure bet was placed.

The Gunners forward has been linked with neighbours Manchester City all summer, but could now be on the brink of a shock move to Old Trafford.

Sanchez's move to Jose Mourinho's Red Devils was cut from 10/1 to just 5/1 after the monster bet was placed... in a MANCHESTER branch.

United have been chasing a winger all summer, but have seen their race for Ivan Perisic thus far come up short.

Mourinho had been chasing the Inter Milan star, but was unwilling to part with Anthony Martial in return - as the Serie A club were insisting.

Now it would appear the Special One is turning his attention to a last-ditch bid for the Arsenal star.

While Manchester City are still in pole position - with odds of just 3/10 - it seems a move to United isn't too far-fetched after all.

Meanwhile, Sanchez to stay at Arsenal is available at odds of 7/2, with a stunning move to Chelsea as short as 22/1.

Arsene Wenger has revealed he is willing to allow Sanchez to leave as long as he can get his hands on Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler before the window closes.

Arsenal have already lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from their attacking midfield ranks to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

Having only signed Alexandre Lacazette in their forward-line this summer, Wenger will be itching for deadline day reinforcements, particularly if Sanchez leaves.
