Watford confirm the signing of Udinese defender Molla Wague on a season-long loan deal
Hornets boss Marco Silva bolsters his Premier League side's squad by bringing Malian international star to Vicarage Road
WATFORD have confirmed the signing of Udinese star Molla Wague.
The defender has joined the Hornets on a season-long loan deal.
Malian international Wague finalised his move to Vicarage Road in the final hours of the transfer window on Thursday.
He will join up with his new team-mates following the international break.
The 26-year-old could be in line to make his debut for Watford at Southampton on September 9.
Wague began his career at French side Caen before moving to Spain to join Granada.
He then embarked on a three-season loan spell at Udinese before making the move permanent this summer.
But the Italians, who the Pozzo family own along with Watford, have decided to send him straight out to Vicarage Road.

Wague only only made 37 appearances in total for the Serie A outfit.
However, he was handed a chance to impress in the Premier League last season.
Leicester City snapped-him up in January in a loan deal until the end of the season.
But things did not go to plan.
He made his debut in the FA Cup defeat to Millwall but came off injured, and that would result in him being ruled out for the rest of the campaign.
Wague will be hoping for better luck in England this time out after sealing his switch to Marco Silva's men.
