BARCELONA have reportedly made a new bid of £138million for Philippe Coutinho.
But Liverpool will not accept the offer as they look to keep the disgruntled Brazilian at Anfield for at least six more months.
The English transfer window slammed shut late yesterday evening, but clubs in Spain can continue to sign players until midnight tonight.
And Barcelona appear confident they can still lure Coutinho to the Nou Camp despite already failing with three big-money offers.
Despite signing Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele for an eye-watering fee, Catalan chiefs still have money to spend after selling Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.
And Coutinho is seen as a direct replacement for his compatriot after establishing himself as Jurgen Klopp’s key man last season.
The player himself is trying to force through the move and has submitted a formal transfer request.
But it seems Liverpool will not change their stance and are adamant Coutinho will remain at Anfield.
